Rhinoplasty 101: Your Quick Guide

Do I need a Rhinoplasty?

Many people opt for rhinoplasty to enhance their facial features and achieve a more symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing nose. This can boost self-confidence and improve overall satisfaction with one’s appearance.

Rhinoplasty comes in different forms; it can be structural, revision, or enhancement:

    • Structural Rhinoplasty – can be done for those having difficulty in breathing or those who have previous trauma or nose injuries.

    • Revision Rhinoplasty – can be done on patients who are not satisfied with their previous surgery or on patients who want a different look from what they liked before

    • Enhancement Rhinoplasty – is performed on patients who want to enhance their appearance, whether they simply want a natural-looking result or simply want to follow another person’s nose that they admire.

Consultation

Before considering Rhinoplasty, it is required to schedule a consultation with a specialist. And luckily, we have Dr. Jule Kong to discuss your goals and expectations to determine the right procedure for you!

This can be done personally at the clinic or online if you do not have time to visit the clinic.

Lab test

Should be taken and ready before surgery, patients can go to any laboratory clinic at their convenience.

Surgery Date

Follow your surgery scheduled on [date] and [time], and please make sure to follow pre-surgery instructions and arrive on time

Post-Operation Checkups

3rd-day post-operation check up – first follow-up at the clinic

7th-day post-operation check-up – second follow-up and removal of sutures at the clinic. The removal of the sutures is ideally anytime between the 7th to the 10th day

    • We usually recommend patients stay in the area or nearby city for 8 – 10 days before traveling back home.

    • We also recommend that you file for a leave of 8 days from your job so you can have time to rest while healing and get back to work after your removal of sutures.

Your perfect nose is just a procedure away!
